At Starr D Ranch Horse Sanctuary, we are passionately committed to providing a permanent refuge for horses saved from the brink of slaughter. Our mission began with the rescue of three courageous horses from a kill pen, where they were destined for a tragic end. Since then, we expanded to a total of seven horses, each with their own tale of survival, and are now thriving as cherished residents of our sanctuary. We pledge to give them the best lives possible, filled with care and freedom.

Our commitment extends to the comprehensive care, rehabilitation, and emotional support of our horses, ensuring that they live out their lives in tranquility and respect. Through dedicated care, we create a nurturing environment where these horses can heal from their past hardships and relish in their newfound freedom across our pasture. Our sanctuary is not only a safe haven for horses but also a center for engagement and education, aiming to instill a greater appreciation and respect for equine life via social media.
